Prosearch Europe is a Belgian-based company with experience in the management and implementation of research and innovation projects in Latin America and the organisation of university structures to conduct research with an international perspective. We are also knowledgeable on opportunities for third countries at the European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP). Given our location in Brussels, we attend Info Days and Brokerage Events when new FP calls are launched and we offer our clients the opportunity to participate for them in networking activities. We also follow discussions and guidelines on strategic issues such as mission-oriented research policies, open science, science for policy, researcher career competences, and so forth. Attending these meetings and knowing the content of the calls allows us to be aware of the thematic lines and the research and innovation guidelines for our clients.

Why and by whom was Prosearch Europe created? 

Prosearch Europe (PE) was founded by Consuelo Uribe, former vice-rector of research at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, after she detected a gap in the accompaniment of Latin American researchers and universities in their international outlook and in their participation in the EU’s Framework Programme (FP). Based in Brussels and travelling to Latin America on a regular basis, its founder is able to guide the universities she accompanies in a way that is tailored to their needs.

An international perspective for universities in the management and organisation of research is fundamental to success today. Challenges range from harmonising policies, to complying with regulations and requirements for international research funding, to understanding the dynamics of participating in the FP. Participation in Horizon Europe for new commers from third countries is a complicated process and Prosearch Europe can help on achieving it.
